1. A buildup of Oil.
If there is oil on the surface of the fingers, the polish will chip faster. It is recommended to wash first your nails with soapy water and then rinse them before applying the polish.
2. Imperfections in the surface.
Some nails may not be smooth at the surface and may have ridges and bumps preventing a smooth coat to be attached thus wearing faster.
3. No Top and Basecoat.
For the polish not to wear fast, you must apply a base coat that will smooth the imperfections and the top coat that will protect the polish from chipping.
4. Fidgeting.
If you play with your fingers when nervous, the cuticle can pull out and the polish wears out.
5. Brittle.
Other peoples’ nails are brittle and can’t hold the nail polish. All you need to do is hydrate the nails.
6. Painting incorrectly.
Many people apply lots of strokes in the nails resulting to a thick polish which can’t dry well and flakes fast. Try to apply a maximum of three strokes.
7. Hand Care.
Lack of caring for the hands also results in nails polish wearing out. When doing activities such as washing, you should wear gloves because some products are abrasive to nails.
8. Bad Polish.
Buying cheap polish can result in your nail polish wearing out faster. You should buy quality polish.
